Dec was born moderately deaf in both ears, and from a young age found subtle ways to adapt - turning faces toward him to lip-read and relying on hearing aids he never felt proud to wear.

On his birthday in 2024, his partner Daniela crafted a gift that changed everything: elegant covers that turned Dec’s hearing aids from medical devices into something beautiful, personal, and empowering.

Luxury Meets Meaning
From summers in San Diego jewellery classes at just eight, to crafting pieces for friends back home in Romania, Daniela’s early passion never faded. She later studied Jewellery & Silversmithing at Edinburgh College of Art, deepening her skill in fine metals and gemstones.

Now a GIA Graduate Gemmologist with 14 years of experience, she brings that artistry to Auzi, transforming assistive devices into jewellery that celebrates identity with beauty and pride.
